Terms of service
Last updated 5 September 2026. Applies to Nexlab MCP at http://mcp.nexlab.net/
1. What the service is
Nexlab MCP hosts a catalogue of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. Each server answers questions by querying public data sources named in its listing and in every answer it returns. You use the servers through an MCP client or an agent, authenticated with an API key from your account or with an OAuth client registered through the account console.
The servers retrieve and structure data; they do not produce legal, medical, financial, navigational, aviation or safety advice, and their answers are not a substitute for the primary source, which every answer identifies so that you can check it.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older, or acting for an organisation that has authorised you.
- API keys and OAuth client credentials are secrets. Anything done with them is done by you. Revoke a key from your account the moment you suspect it has leaked.
- One person or organisation per account. You are responsible for the agents you connect.
3. Plans, quotas and prices
- Every server includes a free allowance of 50 calls per month. No card is needed for it.
- Paid plans (Pro, Agency) buy a larger monthly allowance on one server for the period shown at checkout. A plan does not renew automatically: when the period ends, the server returns to the free allowance until you buy another period.
- You may instead add credit to your wallet and pay per call at the rate shown on each server's page. Credit does not expire while your account exists.
- Prices are in EUR and include applicable VAT unless the checkout says otherwise. Cryptocurrency prices are quoted for a limited window at a stated rate; the amount received is credited at that quoted price once the network confirmations shown at checkout have arrived.
- A call that fails because of us is not charged; a metered call that fails after being charged is refunded to your wallet automatically.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the servers lawfully and within the terms of the data sources they draw on. Some upstreams have their own conditions — for example, Wikipedia content is CC BY-SA and requires attribution, and servers that accept your own upstream API key (such as Shodan) are bound by that provider's terms.
- Do not probe, load-test, scrape, resell or proxy the service, or attempt to exceed a quota by technical means. Rate limits exist to protect the free upstreams everyone depends on.
- Security research on your own assets is fine; anything that targets systems you do not own is not.
5. Availability and changes
The service is offered as-is, without an uptime commitment. Upstream sources go down, change their APIs and withdraw data; a server may be altered, paused or withdrawn as a result. Where a paid plan is affected by a withdrawal we make, the unused part of that plan is refunded — see the refund policy.
6. Content and intellectual property
The software and the catalogue are ours. The data returned by a server belongs to its source and is subject to that source's licence, which the answer cites. You may use the answers in your own work subject to those licences. You keep all rights in what you send to the servers.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for decisions taken on the basis of a server's answer, or for the unavailability or inaccuracy of an upstream source. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing removes the rights you have as a consumer.
8. Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time by writing to the contact above. We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 4, with notice where practicable. Closure does not refund consumed allowances; unspent credit and unused plan periods are handled under the refund policy.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Italy, and its courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. If you are a consumer in the EU you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on this page with a new "last updated" date at least 14 days before they take effect for existing customers.
